I'm a paleontologist who studies dinosaurs and other fossils, with a passion for communicating science. My day job is Professor of Palaeontology and Evolution at the University of Edinburgh in Scotland, and I am the author of bestselling popular science books (such as The Rise and Fall of the Dinosaurs) and paleontology consultant for the Jurassic World film series.
